|What to do at Mukuvisi Woodlands
Enjoy a lovely wander around our large Intepretive Area: Enjoy our resident wildlife; blue duikers, crocodiles, tortoises, the Wildfowl Pond and more.
The animals are usually fed near the platform with game cubes at 2pm. This is an especially good time to see a range of our resident species.
|The Woodlands marked Trails - Walk, Run or Cycle, any day of the week
Need a breath of fresh air? Come forest bathing and de-stress. Soak up nature's calming influence.
The scenery is lovely and you may spot some game too! You’ll certainly see some birds along your way.
|The Mukuvisi Market
Usually held on the first Sunday of each Month, and entry is free (please check our Home and Events Pages to be sure).
Come and browse our stands - and enjoy the Woodlands Trails, Viewing Platform and Coffee Shop, too.
A brilliant way to enjoy the game! You can get quite close to the animals without startling them.
Our Guides are very knowledgeable and will add much to your enjoyment of our woodlands and the diverse birds, plant and animal species who live there.
Educational visits are very popular indeed, with all schools from nursery to junior to senior, and in fact beyond, to college level too!
A superb setting for environmental learning, and so close to the City!
|The Coffee Shop is open all day - have breakfast, lunch,
tea or a light snack.
This is a popular spot at weekends, after people have run, walked or cycled the trails, to grab a coffee and a bite of breakfast; or have lunch, then head over to the Viewing Platform to see the animals as they gather at 2pm Saturdays and Sundays at the waterhole for some game cubes.
|Braais and Picnics
We offer braai facilities at Mukuvisi Woodlands.
So if you want to make a lovely day outing of it, and bring your braai food or picnic, to enjoy at one of our pretty spots in the Interpretive Area, do!
